Keith M. Maxwell, M.D.
Dr. Keith Maxwell has been practicing in the Asheville area for more than 17 years. He graduated from UNCA and completed medical school at Oral Roberts University. After finishing his residency at Georgia Baptist Medical Center, which included work with the team physician for the Atlanta Falcons of the NFL, Dr. Maxwell returned to this area to practice medicine. His specialties include orthopedic spine disorders, spine surgery, general orthopedics and sports medicine.
Dr. Maxwell is board-certified in orthopedic surgery and was also the first board-certified spine surgeon in North Carolina. He is an assistant consultant professor of surgery at Duke University Medical Center, and also serves as chief of surgery at Park Ridge Health. Dr. Maxwell is also an NCAA Basketball Referee.
